Retroactive Kids: Toys & Baby Gifts Seattle

Parents who dig vintage and classic toys, typically like to go “retro” with their little ones too. Score some great finds at Retroactive Kids, a hip Seattle boutique for toys, clothes and baby gifts. Here, you’ll discover plenty of one-of-a-kind and vintage-inspired goods for babies and kids of all ages. Pick up anything from handmade-in-house monster tees and one-sies to Playmobil and Legos. The newly added “BOOK NOOK” carries classic and vintage books for kids. Snap up baby gifts and tween accessories, too. Co-owner Trisha Gilmore says the Organic wool baby chains and Shains bracelets are hugely popular. The small, but concise selection of kids vintage clothes are fun to browse. The store itself has a blue-sky ceiling and energizing orange and green walls (the look is “circus-y”, according to Gilmore). Retro flash cards decorate the space, reminding us of the days when Baby Einstein and computer games didn’t exist. Believe us; the store is worth a trip just to take a step back in time.
P.S. Hair cuts are now available at the in-store salon, Columbia City Cuts. Little ones can take a seat in the rad Mercedes chair while owner Dina Pupera snips and styles. (PS: She can cut & style mom and dad’s hair too!)
