Here is our neighborhood breakdown of family-friendly pizza spots around Portland. Try the one closest to home or venture out to another neighborhood for a slice!
Neighborhood: North Portland
Why you should visit: Locals rave about Mississippi Pizza as a place that both kids and adults can enjoy. Major bonus points for offering both vegan and gluten-free pizza options. Don’t miss Spelling Bee Mondays!
What the kids will love: Dancing to the live bands while you wait for your pie to bake – the music isn’t kid-centered, but it is kid-friendly. Plus, this is a great opportunity to take your little ones to Mississippi!
What to order: The Chicken Camonara for Mom & Dad and cheese breadsticks for the kids.
Dough rating: A small cheese pizza will cost you $13.25 and a large gourmet will cost you nearly $30. Slices also available.

Neighborhood: Clinton/Southeast Portland
Why you should visit: Wy’east Pizza is a pizza food cart, or a trailer to be more exact! Pizzas are made one at a time, so they recommend you call first to place your order (503-701-5149). They’ll give you a time to come get your pie, within a five-minute window – enjoy your pie at one of the great picnic tables or take it to the park or home for dinner.
What the kids will love: Not having to wait in their seat while their pie is cooking!
What to order: Don’t miss the classic Margherita pizza, and be sure to ask what the special is!
Dough rating: Each 12-inch pie is between $11 and $15. If you walk or ride your bike to Wy’east, you get $1 off your order!

Neighborhood: Concordia/Northeast Portland
Why you should visit: The pizza at Hotlips is HOT! With five locations around Portland, we love this location because they are so accommodating and friendly, but really, you can’t go wrong with Hotlips. Their pies offer nontraditional choices in toppings and are delicious!
What the kids will love: The homemade sodas made with fresh, local fruit.
What to order: The seasonal pizzas at Hotlips are true works of art – be sure to ask what’s featured. They also have fun toppings like potatoes, local walnuts and housemade chorizo.
Dough rating: A small cheese costs $15.50 and a large gourmet is $30.75. Slices available.

Neighborhood: Lake Oswego/Southwest Portland
Why you should visit: If you love a good, hearty pizza with toppings piled up to the sky, Flying Pie will be your new neighborhood favorite! Plus, they have a traditional salad bar – probably one of the few left in the world – great for getting some extra veggies into your kiddos while you wait for pizza.
What the kids will love: Watching their pizza being made from the window outside or playing a board game at your table while your pie is cooking (parent be warned – they take a good 30-minutes in the oven!)
What to order: The whole wheat crust is worth it.
Dough rating: From $10.10 for a small cheese pizza to around $32 for a large specialty pie.

Neighborhood: Lower Burnside
Why you should visit: Sizzle has those huge East Coast-style slices of pizza that are the size of your face – what kid doesn’t love that?! Don’t miss their weekend brunch -- $6 gets you a breakfast slice (think pizza with an egg on top!) and an adult beverage (bloody mary, mimosa or espresso stout) – what a great way to start the weekend!
What the kids will love: The jukebox and old school PacMan arcade table to keep them entertained while they wait for dinner.
What to order: Mom and Dad should try The Gold Chain, a pie made with white truffle oil. For the little ones, the 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon is a traditional Canadian bacon and pineapple that they’ll devour.
Dough rating: $12 for a small cheese pizza and $28 for the biggest pie.
